The Angola Area Chamber Of Commerce believes that the creation of a Young Professionals Network is an important investment in the future of Angola: This is an organization which will attract and retain modern, innovative thinkers who will invest in the area, strengthen the local economy, care for the community, and define Angola's future with the next generation of leadership.
.The purpose of the Young Professionals Network is to cultivate the next generation of professionals working in the Angola area.
The Young Professionals Network of Steuben County, established in the summer of 2013, exists under the umbrella of the Angola Area Chamber of Commerce to develop, connect, empower and retain young professionals through increased opportunities and resources to enhance their professional development and business success within the region.
The goals of YPN are as follows:
- To broaden the professional skills & knowledge of area young professionals.
- To better connect young professionals in the business community/Chamber.
- To increase opportunities & foster relationships to involve & empower young professionals in the progress of the region.
- To attract & retain young professionals to this region.
- To provide service/volunteer time from YPN members to the community.
- To enhance the area quality of life.
YPN creates avenues for members, aged 21-40, to develop their professional networks, connecting them with other professionals to learn from their experiences, better understand corporate culture, and identify career growth opportunities in a fun and casual atmosphere.
YPN offers monthly programs and events designed to give young leaders the opportunity to exchange ideas, grow professionally and share common interests while gaining an insider's view of the regional business scene.
